Images on corona
This is a small exhibition of paintings by Jaap Schreurs from my collection. I made it on a spontaneous whim on commemoration day, 4 May. I also made the accompanying texts spontaneously, they have no pretension. The structure is: beginning and end positive (solidarity, hope), then in the intervening pages the tensions gradually increase: loneliness, no physical contacts, the elderly no visitors, having to face the reality of death.
I didn’t make it especially for someone, but afterwards I think it can be used in digital church services, and also in pastoral or psychotherapeutic digital sessions. Maybe I will elaborate on it, I still have to think about that.
