3. “Buddies”
In order to be able to continue nursing and treating the large number of critically ill patients, our working method was adapted in a short period of time. As IC nurses we now have responsibility for 4 patients and 4 buddies who take on the executive care. They help us with the daily care, monitor the most important physical functions of patients (e.g. breathing, heart rate, blood pressure) and keep the patient file.
