Saturday night in Amsterdam during the curfew
door Gosse Bouma
At the start of the outbreak in the Netherlands, the news said that we as citizens must keep a distance of one and a half meters from each other. When I took to the streets, it turned out that this was not really the case.
Coincidentally on the same day my cousins on Facebook were also talking about this and they wanted T-shirts with the slogan ‘Keep 1.5 meters distance’. We laughed a lot together and I printed that on a T-shirt.
In my head I thought that this could be done better and that it should be more visible, so that the message came across better. I then printed it on a bag with which I did my shopping. That was very successful, so I then entered into a partnership with the District Southeast in order to reach a larger audience. Now the bags are offered free of charge to customers who do their shopping for independent entrepreneurs in order to stimulate the local economy.
