dr. Tjeerd Andringa is associate professor of auditory cognition at the University of Groningen and consultant and developer at SoundAppraisal. He investigates all aspects of the mutual influence of the individual and the sound environment. Andringa develops both technology and policy options with which we, as a society, can learn to better deal with noise pollution. In particular, he is interested in the ‘why’ of sound experience: why is one individual severely annoyed by a particular sound, for example, while a housemate is hardly bothered by it?

Op 20 maart 2020 plaatste geluidskunstenaar ‘t Hart een oproep om geluiden toe te sturen voor een nieuw archief. De geluiden die werden ingezonden zijn verzameld in het lockdownarchief. Tezamen geven de fragmenten een auditief beeld van onze huisgeluiden tijdens de coronaperiode, zoals een knabbelende kat, een koffiezetapparaat en een Zoom-gesprek met de klas.
