Children making their older friends happy
The residents of a care home were suddenly no longer allowed to have visitors. However, this didn’t stop the volunteers of the Community of Sant’Egidio. Children made happy drawings on the pavement with chalk that residents could see from their window. The children were happy to be able to do this for them and the residents enjoyed watching the activity and seeing the end result. A ‘distant meeting’ of generations!
