Window Tale – Ciggie Butts!
Greet, from Nieuw Sloten, spent much of the first weeks of the corona period walking around the neighbourhood. She was appalled by the number of cigarette butts on the ground everywhere, and began cleaning them up using a litter spike, growing increasingly frustrated with the hundreds of butts she picked up off the streets. In the end, she channelled her annoyance into this positive poem.
Greet displayed her poem on Eigenwijks’s Vensterverhaal (Window Tale), so that all passers-by can absorb her wise words.
