Covid-19 Aloud
This sound piece explores the poetic language of COVID-19. It features the complete genome sequence of the virus. It is a beautifully mind-numbing sound recorded in the voice of Microsoft George. This piece was made on 10 May 2020 in Amsterdam. The work is part of a series that I started in 2013 exploring the themes of biochemical and memetic contamination. It toys with the double meaning of the word culture: microbial or viral and culture as a human activity.
