7. “Turning”
Prone position is part of the treatment at COVID. At the end of the morning, a multidisciplinary team, with an anesthetist, an ICU nurse and physiotherapists, will carefully turn the patients from belly to back or vice versa. We do this together to ensure that the IV lines and breathing tube remain in place, but also because a patient cannot help with turning as they are kept asleep with all muscles relaxed.
