4 May 2020: on top of the Palace
Rene Rietbergen works at the Royal Palace on Dam Square. On 4 May 2020 he hung out the flag at half mast on top of the Palace for the commemoration of the dead. He filmed the empty Dam Square and the rest of the panorama of Amsterdam from there, while singing the song ‘Mijn ouwe Amstelstad’ (My Old Amstel City) by Aunt Leen.
