This is what the streets of Amsterdam looked like on the first day of the curfew.

Dissent on Museumplein
It is approximately three o’clock. A black police drone is hovering above Museumplein like a big, buzzing insect. It films the protesters but it can ‘speak’ as well. It repeats the following message every couple of seconds:
’The mayor has issued an emergency order. Everyone must leave now. The police will act and may use force.’
This message contrasts sharply with the protesters’ slogan who continue to chant:
‘Love, Freedom, No dictatorship.’
